“Override” is the latest project to come from the talented directing duo, Natasha Merkulova and Alexey Chupov. This contemporary neo-noir thriller marks their English-language debut, showcasing their unique style and storytelling prowess. The film follows the story of Ron Camp, a taxi driver in L.A., played by Joe Cole, and Becca, his teenage passenger portrayed by Teagan Croft. As the night unfolds, they find themselves in a modern-day nightmare, raising the question of how many lives will be at stake before the ride is over.

The cast of “Override” is an ensemble of talented actors, including Zolee Griggs, Jeremias Amoore, Jaime Ray Newman, and Chris Payne Gilbert. With Estonian Mart Taniel as the Director of Photography, bringing a unique visual style to the film. The project is being produced by Valeriy Fedorovich and Evgeny Nikishov for Melting Pot Production, known for their work on successful projects like “Anna K” and “To The Lake.”

Due to the Russia-Ukraine war, Fedorovich and Nikishov made the decision to relocate to L.A. in 2023, where they founded Melting Pot Production. This move has opened up new opportunities for the duo, allowing them to explore different narratives and collaborate with international talents. The film industry in Los Angeles presents a fresh canvas for their creative endeavors, bringing a new perspective to their filmmaking.

With international sales handled by Paris-based outfit Charades and North American rights represented by AC Independent and WME Independent, “Override” is set to make waves in the industry. The film will be launched to buyers in Cannes, generating excitement and anticipation among audiences and industry insiders. Nick Shumaker from Anonymous Content expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the directors’ unique vision and style that captivated audiences with their previous work.
