Meghan McCain Decides Not to Return to The View

Meghan McCain recently made it clear that she has no intention of returning to The View anytime soon. In fact, she stated firmly that there is “not a chance in hell” that producers would ever ask her to come back, even as a guest. McCain expressed that she doesn’t communicate with any of the current co-hosts on the show, further solidifying her decision to stay away.

One of the reasons McCain cited for not wanting to go back to The View is the fact that she has had children since leaving the show. She mentioned that she is content with her life at the moment and feels that she has worked hard to be taken more seriously in her career. Instead of returning to the talk show, McCain is focusing on hosting her own programs such as Citizen McCain and Meghan McCain Has Entered the Chat.

During her time on The View, Meghan McCain shared the panel with several co-hosts, including Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Abby Huntsman. However, McCain’s departure from the show in 2021 was not without its complications. In fact, she released a memoir where she expressed negative feelings about her time on The View, indicating that there were underlying issues that led her to part ways with the show.

Meghan McCain’s Relationships with Former Co-Hosts

While McCain admitted that she doesn’t communicate with the current hosts of The View, she did mention that she maintains friendships with some former co-hosts. Notably, McCain said that she is in touch with Jenny McCarthy and Rosie O’Donnell, both of whom will be guests on her podcast. Additionally, she revealed that she has Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s phone number, suggesting that there is a unique bond shared among those who have been a part of The View.
