In addition to Oppenheimer and Maestro, this year’s Oscar nominees in the Sound category featured films such as Disney’s The Creator, Paramount’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, and A24’s The Zone of Interest. These nominees showcased the diversity and talent within the sound mixing industry.

The Documentary category was another highlight of the event, with nominations including sound mixers from the concert movie Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. The TV categories also featured a range of titles that have been prominent during awards season, with nominees like Succession, Beef, Ted Lasso, The Crown, The Last of Us, The Bear, Only Murders in the Building, The Mandalorian, and Welcome to Wrexham.

The 60th Cinema Audio Society Awards highlighted the incredible talent and diversity within the sound mixing industry. From honoring filmmakers like JJ Abrams to recognizing sound mixers from documentary films and TV series, the event showcased the importance of sound in the world of entertainment.
