The Eisner Family’s Tale of Unfortunate Accidents

Eric Eisner, a film producer and the son of former Walt Disney CEO Michael Eisner, found himself in a troubling situation last month. While skateboarding in Inglewood, California with friends, he attempted a move but unfortunately ended up breaking his elbow and fracturing his hip. Despite the painful injuries, Eisner managed to drive himself to the hospital, leaving medical staff amazed at his determination.

Eisner, who will be missing the opening match of his UK soccer team Portsmouth Football Club due to his injuries, had to undergo surgery for his elbow which required nine screws. Currently using a wheelchair to keep the weight off his hip, he is slowly making progress and has begun walking again. The mishap not only affected him but also put a strain on his family.

Double Trouble for the Family

The unfortunate events did not stop with Eric Eisner’s accident. The day before his mishap, one of his daughters fell off her horse in New York, resulting in a broken collarbone. The surgeries for father and daughter took place on different coasts just a day apart, leaving his wife, Stacey Bendet, to juggle between two medical situations in separate locations. Despite the challenges faced, Bendet remains optimistic and is focusing on the recoveries of her loved ones.

Gratitude Amidst Adversity

Reflecting on the series of unfortunate accidents, Bendet expressed how lucky they are despite the challenges. She humorously commented on her newfound role as an “orthopedic doctor in residence” as she navigated through the medical procedures with her family. Despite the hardships faced, she maintains a positive outlook, reassuring her husband and daughter that they will be okay in the end.

Currently, Eric Eisner and his daughter are recovering together in Malibu, taking the necessary steps towards healing and regaining their strength. The Eisner family’s tale of unfortunate accidents serves as a reminder of the fragility of life and the resilience needed to overcome unexpected challenges. Through it all, they remain grateful for their well-being and the hope of brighter days ahead.
