Travis Kelce has recently made headlines by revealing his favorite track from his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” The 3-time Super Bowl champ was asked to choose one song out of the 31 that Swift released on April 19, and it seems that he plays favorites. “I might be a little biased to ‘So High School’,” Kelce told People, referring to a song on the album that is rumored to be about him.
Taylor Swift surprised fans when she announced that “The Tortured Poets Department” was actually a double album. Titled “The Anthology,” the late-night surprise included 15 bonus tracks, bringing the total song count to 31. While most of the songs on her 11th studio album delve into her past breakups, tracks like “So High School” and “The Alchemy” appear to reference her relationship with Kelce.
“The Alchemy” includes football references such as touchdowns, teams, winning streaks, and being the greatest in the league. The lyrics even mention Kelce reuniting with Swift after winning his third Super Bowl in February. Swift sings about the celebratory atmosphere with lines like, “Shirt’s off, and your friends lift you up over their heads / Beer stickin’ to the floor, cheers chanted ’cause they said.”
In “So High School,” Swift reminisces about the feeling of a new romance as a teenager. The song also seems to allude to an old interview where Kelce was asked to choose between Swift, Katy Perry, and Ariana Grande. Kelce chose to kill Perry, marry Grande, and kiss Swift, which is reflected in the lyrics, “Are you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me? It’s just a game, but really, I’m bettin’ on all three for us two.”
Since going public with their relationship in September 2023, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been enjoying various activities together, from attending Coachella to going on dinner dates in Europe. Their romance has been the talk of the town, and they have been spotted vacationing with their celebrity friends, showcasing a fun and loving relationship.
