UCP has joined forces with Side Naegle, Jenna Bush Hager’s Thousand Voices, and Ali Krug’s Dinner Party Productions to create a series adaptation based on Chris Whitaker’s latest novel, “All the Colors of the Dark.” The project will be brought to life by the talented Sarah Gubbins, known for her work on “Pam & Tommy” and “Better Things.”

The narrative revolves around the small town of Monta Clare, Missouri, where a teenage girl’s abduction is thwarted by an unexpected hero. Patch, a one-eyed local boy with a penchant for imagining himself as a pirate, comes to the girl’s rescue, setting off a chain of events that will alter the lives of everyone involved. His loyal friend Saint soon realizes the fine line between triumph and tragedy as they embark on a journey that could potentially tear them apart.

Jenna Bush Hager expressed her admiration for Whitaker’s novel, describing it as a “genre-bending book” that seamlessly blends the essence of small-town America with a gripping thriller.
