The Legal Woes of Kanye West: Attorney Claims Rapper is Unresponsive and Non-Payment

An attorney representing Kanye West in a lawsuit against an autograph dealer has claimed that the rapper is refusing to pay him or even communicate with him. The attorney, Brian Brumfield, has filed a request to be relieved from representing West in the ongoing legal battle. According to documents, West terminated their working relationship on June 21 and has been unresponsive to any attempts at communication.

The original lawsuit, filed by Justin Poplawski and his wife, Tiffany Marshall, accuses Kanye West of assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence regarding an incident in which West allegedly struck Poplawski. Poplawski, who claims to have obtained West’s autograph before, confronted the rapper outside of a social club in Los Angeles and was allegedly attacked by West. The lawsuit further claims that Marshall suffered a loss of consortium as a result of the incident.

The news of West’s legal troubles comes shortly after he was named in another lawsuit filed by a former Yeezy staffer. The staffer alleges that West’s new wife, Bianca Censori, sent inappropriate materials to staff members, including minors, while they were working on a project called “Yeezy Porn.” Censori has denied the allegations, stating that they are false and unsubstantiated.

The ongoing legal battles involving Kanye West highlight the challenges he is facing in his personal and professional life. With his attorney claiming non-payment and unresponsiveness, and allegations of assault and inappropriate behavior surfacing in multiple lawsuits, West’s reputation and legal standing may be in jeopardy. It remains to be seen how these legal issues will be resolved and what impact they will have on West’s career moving forward.
